The National Mortgage and Agency Coy. report having hold a successful stock sale at Kokatahi saleyards on Wednesday last. There was a good attendance of buyers and a good demand for lines of forward Shorthorn 'steers. A pen of 15 well grown 3 year Shorthorn steers realised £ll 15s apiece, 15 3 year (Shorthorn steers fetched* £lO 15s each. A pen of 20 3 year steers were passed in at £lO Is, the price not reaching the owner's reserve. 15 2 year Red Poll heifers sold for £5 15s apiece, a stag at £6 ss, and a line of yearling steers were passed in at £3 10s per head.
