The Wainiakariri River Improvement Bill and the Disabled Soldiers Civil Re-establishment Bill were also passed without amendment. The Council rose at 4.30 p.m. THE HOUSE. In 'the House of Representatives the amendments of the Legislative Council to the Lands Laws Amendment Bill were agreed to. Urgency was accorded for the passing of the Finance Bill (No. 2) and the Supplementary Estimates Bill was read second time at five a.m., but’ was still under consideration in • Committee when the House adjourned at seven a.m. for breakfast. WELLINGTON, Oct. 23. In the House of Representatives, the Finance Bill is still under consideration in Committee.
