A FLYING BOAT
FOR NEW ZEALAND USE.

Much interest was taken by experts during trials in the Solent at the week-end, of a flying boat named Windhaven, on iv liner for use in New Zealand. The Windhaven is al metal and is fitted with three De Haviland Gipsy No. 2 engines, developing 360 horse power. Mounted in the wings of the machine is a monoplane developing a maximum speed of 110 miles an hour. It ,-.*:as cabin accommodation for six passengers.
The Cowes trials were must tsuceessful. After further official tests u.l Felixfjton'e, tlije Windhaven will he shipped to New Zealand for service between the North and South Islands.
