A spectacular fire i s .one of the features ,pf “Tiger lto.se,” the Warner Bros, and Vita-phone- version of the famous stage melodrama, which comes to the Princess Theatre to-night, and Tuesday., The cabin of the maddened iloetor, which role is played by H. B. (Warner,. -is burned by an overturned v'Tainp. . The scene takes place in the Hudson Bay district. As a matter of fact, the first was filmed in two sections. The exterior of the blaze, against a- night sky, was filmed on a location near -Lake Arrowhead. Extroardinarv precautions were taken because-of the-‘dry. weather, and forest rangers and .fire fighting equipment stood< by -to see the adjacent timber did .not-catch on fire. Needless to sav, the interior scenes in the burning cabin could not be taken at the same time. So the cabin was recon-structed--on -stage at Warner Bros, studio and with the lights turned on full force, so the cameras could come into play, it was burned under the supervision of-Los Angeles Fire Depart--nient officials, who stood hv with equipment to make sure that the big stage did not catch fire. Monte Blue and Lu-pe Velez are co-starred in “Tiger B c se, ’ ’ whi eh is• ta ken - from Will arc! Mack’s tremendously successful stage play of the same name. George Fitz-maurice-'directed: The screen play was written ’hv Harvey-Them and Gordon Rigby. There are several popular and well-known plavers appearing 1 in -the supporting cast of “Tiger Ros°.” These include H. B. Warner Grant Withers, Bull Montana. Gaston Glass, Tully Marshall and the well-known dog star, Rjn-Tiri-Tin.
