McNEILL’S CASE
REPORTED ATTEMPT 1 AT SUICIDE

WELLINGTON, Oct. 17
A private prosecution for false pretences was mentioned in the court this morning, and an adjournment sine die was granted, on t!ie ground that accused, Frank McNeiil, was in hospital .suffering from the effects of poison.
‘The cJVendant, ij understand,” said counsel, “attempted io, commit suicide bust night, and he is at present in hospital in a very serious condition.”
