MAN POISONED

WELLINGTON, October 16. Suffering from the effects of poison, a man, whose name is given as Captain McNeill, was admitted to Wellington Hospital to-night. Captain McNeill was found to be A unwell at a city hotel. Medical aid Jr'- was summoned and he was then ordered to the hospital, where he was admitted at 7.30 p.m. He is 53 years of age, and is said to be engaged as accountant* in Auckland. Late to-night rt was reported that he had regained * consciousness, .bnt that his condition was still,serious.
