Beef There was a very small yarding »>; fat cattle, only 330 'being yarded. Good steer beef was in very short supply. Prices showed a rise of 30s per li,ead on all classes. Steers sold: Extra to £27 2s 6d, prime £.21 to £24 10s, n;edium £l7 12s (id to £l9 17s 6d, light £l2 to £l6 17s 6d; cows and heifers, extra £ls 7s 6(1 to £l9 7 s 6d; prime £l2 7s 6d to £l4 17s bid; medium £1(110s to £l2; light £8 to £lO. glutton : —There were 2720 fa t pheep yarded, including 400 shorn wethers. Prices were firmer by 2s to 2s 6d per head on last week. Values were;— Wethers, extra to 37s lOd, prime 29s (id to 30s 6d, medium 27s to 295, light

Store Sheep.—There were 1300 yarded, and there was a good attendance of buyers. Priges were |[|m ! at bite rates. Two, four arid six-tooth half-bred wethers sold 14s to 19s 7d; wether hoggets 13s 4d, ewe hoggets 15s 3d to P)s 9d; good ditto to 21s (id; e'wes and lambs 9s to 16s 7d, according to condition and mouth. Pat Pigs.—There was a. good yarding of pork and a small one of bacon. Prices were slightly easier. Pork sold 46s to 55s 6d, heavy to £3 8s 6d. the average price being 8d per pound. Choppers osld £3 to £8 3s 6d; bacori £3 12s 6d to £4 12s 6d; heavy to £6 3s 6d: average price 7(1 per pound. ;•
