Forbes had his first impression of the English countryside in sunny autumnal weather, when on a motor trip. He will spend tlie weekend as the guest of Mrs Vaughan Hughes near the Bledisloe’s seat in Gloucester. Mr Forbes was most interested to see the complete way in which fanning operations were carried out. He inspected a local dairy factory and visited a nearby farm, where John C’r id land curried on Angus cattle breeding. Mr Forbes has decided to investigate the possibility of removing the New Zealand embargo agjninst the importation of stock, provided adequate quarantine can lie observed, as lie recognised New Zealand 'breeders needed new blood.
