WEST CANADA WHEAT
YIELD REDUCED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) OTTAWA, October 9. News from Winnipeg states that serious decreases in the wheat yield of Western Canada are. foreseen as a possible- result- of the continued wet weather there, which has delayed the threshing, for spina. ..sections since early September, Intermittent rains in Northern Snskachewan and Alberta have virtually stopped operations. Wheat sprouting is reported to be preventing threshing in many cases.
It is undoubtedly true that millions of bushels will. be cut from the estimated Prairie yield by the wet spell. The current low prices for wheat have influenced a number of the farmers to leave their grain lying in the fields.
