ALL SAINTS’ YOUNG MEN’S CLUB
The members of the All Saint s Young Mon’s Club met last evening in the Parish Hall, Fitzhorbort St. -Mr H. W. R. Swciicv occupied tlie cliair. After business had been dealt with the prepared debate: —“that New Zealand gives too much time to Spuit was taken. For the affirmative the speakers were: Messrs R. ( lessey (leader), R. Palmer, 11. J. Cooper and J’. Sweney. The negative was represented by Messrs AY. Rowe ileadei) ( • Evans,' H. D. Lodge, and W. ,J. Hichai'ds. After Mr 11. W. R. Sweney, who noted as judge, remarked on the improvement of the speakers since their lastdebate, gave his decision in favour ol the affirmative with 280 marks, while the negative gained 263. Mr W. Rowe gained the highest individual points with 89, Mr R. Cressey being next with 75. Mr J. B. AVard corroborated Mr Sweney’s remarks and then an im-
