Replying to the Conference delegates condolences, which he was much touched, Mr MacDonald .said:—“Many in this room are Prime Ministers and known .what a solitary post : it is. Owing to Mr'MacDonald’s presence at the Labour Conference at Llandudno and Mr R. B .Bennett’s unavoidable absence, Mr T. H. Scullin presided at the afternoon’s Conference which completed the discussion on' Constitutional aspects of inter-imperial relations. The matters 1 referred to " Lord Sartkey’s committee now include. Privy Council appeals, questions of nationality,' Empire tribunal, advising the King of the appointment of Governor Generals, commercial treaties, ' status' of High Commissioners, and Foreign Cobsuls.

The Economic Committee further discussed technical questions including co-relaetion of trade statistics.
