ARMED BANDITS
.i : ~ HOLD UP OF BUSES. ' V-, TWO CASES REPORTED. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this dav at 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, October 7. Armed bandits in Sydney are becoming increasing daring. A crowded surburban bus containing about thirtyfive passengers, was held up by two men. One presented a revolver at the conductor, which the second cut the strap of his money bag with a razor. As the bits was leaving, the conductor made a kick at the men ; and a shot was fired, a bullet being embedded in the back of the vehicle. In another ease three robbers attacked a conductor and driver of a bus. . Resistance was shown, and the men made off. One was captured.
