CELEBRATION AT SYDNEY. (Australian Press Association.) ‘ SYDNEY, October 6. y . Labour Day was to-day celebrated ..here, and was marked by the usual • Eight Hour Day. demonstration. There ryvas a procession thrrough the city, and •a .sports meeting at the Sydney -'Showgrounds. Regarding to-day’s Labour’Day celebration, much of the traditional flavour has gone out of the Eight . Ho ivs Procession. In to-day’s parade,/'apart from the new Trade Union banners symbolical of the’ various' industries; fully seventy-five per cent, was frankly a contribution to the bitter. New South Wales election ■ campaign.
