t 'By 1 «l«gr»ph—Free* AiteoeiUiou). . .. ‘ \ „• , TE AROHA, Oct. 3. death of Georgy Arthur Push, whose bddy was found in a car outside the Norana Hospital, Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, was held to-day before Mr J. Mosley, District Coroner. The Government analysts’s report showed that death was caused by a dofce of alcaline cyanide. Evidence was given by F. E. Burns, .•who; last saw the deceased alive, Misses Phyll'is Mary Whitten, and Bessie Farrow, probationers at the hospital, and Mary Jean Haughton, Maternity Nurse and owner of the car in which deceased was discovered, and Stephen * Dennis Toomey, Night Watchman, who found the body. The police evidence showed that three letters were written, all pointing to suicide, which letters the Coroner declined permission to read, owing to their refleotoin on certain people.. >*• Mr G. Gilchrist, acting for the deceased’s people, pointed out that he Held' the rank of Captain in the Army and; had fought in both the Boer and World Wars, and that this was likely to effect him. After two and a half hours the finding was that the deceased committed suicide by: cyanide poison, while temporarily of unsound mind.
