N.S.W. ELECTIONS

THE NOMINATIONS. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Oct. 2, for the New .South Wales general elections on October 25th have closed. There are 270 candidates for ninety electorates. Only one candidate was unopposed. The National Party is contesting; 42 seats in the Metsopolitan area and 23 in the country. Labour is contesting 42 MetropolL tan and 46 country. The Country Party is contesting 22 exclusively rural seats.

Communists are putting forward 52 candidates whereof live are women.. Australian Party nominees and Independents comprise the balance of the aspirants.
