Sophie Tucker at present a big hit on a West End stage, believes fat women are‘able to wear the latest fashions and look smart therein. In order to prove her theory she turned mannequin at a West End dress room where worn by Vera Pearce and other “well covered” stars of the London stage every frock was planned to show off the special charms of plumpness. Miss Tucker asks why these earry morning exercises, eighteen day diets, and lemon sippings, when fat- women can score every time. Have you seen fat women in old maids’ homes?”

Blondeau connected with the State tobacco monopoly declares fashionable women will soon be smoking cigars. A new cigar of finest texture delicately by perfumed is now on the market. Blondeau a,s a result of a tour of French resorts says women are naturally cigar smokers.
