IN CAPE FACTORY. I United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copy right. j CAPETOWN, September 27. At Wellington the local Tannery and Boot Factory was gutted by fire this morning. The damage is estimated at one hundred thousand sterling. There is no fire brigade, and the residents in pyjamas, for pied bucket chains, and endeavoured to save a part of the plant.
Two hundred operatives are rendered idle.
