Tin) vessel will have five decks', and will, be divided by water tight bulkheads to meet the full requirements of the Board of Trade. Firescreens will be fitted and 12 lifeboats worked by Welin-McLachland gravity lowering davite, will be provided. There will be a handsome dining isaloon entrance, lounge and smoke room for first class passengers and dining saloon and smoke room for the second class. Provision is made for carriage of a certain amount of car-
go-. Large spaces between decks are provided for carrying motor cars.
The vessel will have twin screws, each propojlor /being driven by an electric motor supplied with alternating current, from alternators which will be driven by Curtis to which high pressure super-heated steam will bo supplied from six row boilers, oil fired. .. The new vessel will have two nins’-s and two funnels raked to the stem cruiser <stern. It is to tie ready lor delivery in a year’s time.
