TRADE CONCESSIONS. [United Press Association.—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright]. LONDON, September 27. Hon. G'. W. Forbes, N.Z. Prime Minister and the Canadian Minister of Commerce conferred regard.ng a preference for N.Z. butter. He had pointed out that New Zealand’s concessions to Canada have out balanced the Canadian concessions to New Zealand upon a total inter-Dominion trade.
Air. Forbes assured Air. Bennett, Canadian Prime -Minister, that New Zealand did not desire a tariff war and was agreed to continue the discussions in London. .
New Zealand was Canada’s best overseas market for automobiles in 1929. With Australia, New Zealand accounted for thirty-three per cent, of Canada’s automobile expor s. The total' of Canada’s exports to New Zealand were worth more than five million six hundred thousand dollars, and the cans cent to Australia were worth more than three and a-half million dollars.
