SHAREHOLDERS’ GRIEVANCE

A meeting of the shareholders in the Sun Newspapers Ltd;, convened by Mr Harold Schmidt to consider the action of the “Sun’s” directors in disposing of.. Auckland assets, passed, a resolution' to-niglitp; urging the Gov-, ernment to insert * an amendment in the Companies Act, making Lit obligatory for all limited liability companies to issue a confidential ballance-sheet to the shareholders at least once a year. About 30 of the shareholders attended, and about 30 of the former employees of the company were present.
