As the outcome of persistent press criticism and pressure by State Ministers, the Federal Lalbour Cabinet is now hastening its scheme for balancing they. Budget. Cabinet meets at Canberra on Wednesday' when 'the details will (probably be announced. More taxation is inevitable, but its nature is not yet disclosed. The question o? cutting Federal servants salaries is not settled owing to the hostility of a s,ection of the Ministry to this course.
