NEWSPRINT

RATE FIXING FALLS THROUGH,;' [United Press Association. —By Electric i Telegraph.—Copyright.] NEW YORK, September 25. , Colonel John Price, the President of Price Brothers and' Company, one of the large Canadian newsprint manufacturers has resigned to-day the Chairmanship of the News Print Institute of Canada, charging members of it, whom lie did not name, with failing to live tip to the. rules of the organisation. He intimated that his resignation was prompted by the fact that, although the Institute, agreed-to the price increase cabled last ‘December, they were virtually making readjustments, through their sales of newsprint stock to the publishers. ■ It is believed in some quarters that the resignation presages a price war in newsprint.
