WEDDING BELLS
MANERA—ROBERTS. A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Michaels Church, Goldshorougli on Wednesday afternoon, the contracting parties Maureen, eldest daughter of Mrs R. Roberts of Goldshorougli, and William Paul, eldest son of Mr and Mrs 1). Manera of Ruatapu. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr Tom Roberts looked charming in a frock of pale blue celanese with bat and shoes to match. She was assisted by Miss Maureen Manera as bridesmaid, who wore a light blue taffeta dress with, hat and shoes to tone, whilst Mr H. Arnerick carried out the duties of bestman. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Lordan of Ivuniara. The Church had been tastefully decorated by friends and well-wishers of the bride. The happy couple at the conclusion of the ceremony adjourned to the residence of the bride’s parents where the guests were entertained
Amidst showers of rice and confetti, the newly wedded couple left by car for the nprth, where the honeymoon will he spent, carrying with them the best wishes of a large circle of friends.
