Under engagement to the Napier Boxing Association, Norman Gillespie, tlie lightweight champion of -Australia, arrived by the Maunganui, accompanied by Jiis manager, Samm> Chapman. Gillespie lis to nieet Johnny Leckie at Napier on October 4. They liave met before in’ New Zealand, in a match at Dunedin in 1928, and a good deal of interest lia.s been caused by the prospect of a second fight. On the last occasion Leckie won narrowly on points. In his time Gillespie has held five titles, bantam, feather and lightweight championships (Victoria), and the feather and lightweight championships of Australia. He knocked out Jack Robertson fo- the title earlier in the year Gillespie goes to' Napier tomorrow.
