WEST COAST RUCBY UNION.

The weekly meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union was held lasi evening at dreymouth. Permission was granted to Excelsior senior teani to travel to Westport on Saturday next.

The re-classiiication of R. Stevens* and J. Smith, of United Club, from senior to junior wais granted. It was decided to dose the oneround senior competition and declare United Clujb the winners of the Citieens’ Shield. Cobden fourth gradeteam were granted permission to travel t 0 Hokitika on Saturday. The following are the nominations and the draw for the seven-a-si.de competition to be played at Victoria Pork on Saturday next, play commencing at 2 p.m.— Seniors:—United B v. Cobden; Blaketown A v. Rivals; Blaketown B v. Stars; United A v. Brunner. Juniors:—Cobden B v. United, Rumnra B v. Kiwils, Excelsiors v. Cobden A, Kumara a bye. It was decided to request the Excelsior Club to return the senior Citizens’ Shield, which was won by United. The following nominations were received for the Saraty Cup junior seveu-a-side tourney to be played at Kumara on Saturday, October 4th: Eumara A and B, C'bbden A and B, and United.
