ADDINCTON STOCK SALE. i CHRISTCHURCH, ' Sept. 24. Except for an easing the sheep prices fully equalled late rates at today’s live stock sale at Addington. Beef.—There was a small entry, only 310 bei’iig yarded, mainly steers. Competition was good throughout at late rates, with a firming tendency. Steers sold: Extra £l9 7s 6d to £22 17s 6d, prime £l7 12s 6d to £l9, medium £ls to £l7 10s, light £l3 to £l4 10s. Cows and heifers: Extra £l4 to £l7 17s 6d, prime £l2 to £l3 7s 6d, medium £lO 10s to £ll 17s (id, light £8 to £lO. Mutton.—There was a large yarding of ! fat sheep, consignments from the north and south being included. Prices were slightly easier. Wether* sold: Extras to 37s 6d, prime 2Gs fid to •• 30s, medium 22s fid to 245, light 19s to 21s 6d. Ewes sold: Extra to 80s, prime 22s to 25s fid, medium 16s fid'to 21s, light 13s 6d to 16s. Store Sheep.—There were 1500 yarded. There was a fair attendance of buyers and a fair demand for dry sheep. Wether hoggets sold 12s to 16s 7d, 4 and 6 tooth 20s to 23s 4s, 6 and 8 tooth 15s fid. empty half bred two tooth ewas sold 14s 5d to 36s sd, wether hoggets 7s 6tl to 13s 4di ewes and lambs 10s 2d to 13s Id. Pigs.—There was a small yarding of l l pork and bacon ; competition was keen throughout at late rates. Pork sold 50s to £3 Is 671; heavy to £3 15s fid, average price 10id per pound. Choppers sold £3 to £8 3s Gd ; bacon £4 5s 6d to £5; heavy to £ 5 11s Gd, average Bid per lb. Store Pigs.—There was a medium entry. Prices were easier for the small sorts. Large /stores sold 38s te 4Gs 6d, medium 30s to 37s 6d, small and slips 22s to- 27s 6d, weaners 16s to 21s.
