What are the outstanding qualities the discriminating smoker looks for in his tobacco? Weill, to begin with flavour, of course, also aroma. Likewise each “fill” should burn away to the last shred. It should be possible, too, (if desired) to smoke for two or three hours at a stretch without the smloker experiencing satiety—or a burned tongue. The tobacco, moreover, should have no ill after-effects But where, it may be asked, is tobacco comlbining with so many excellencies to be found ? Well, you may look for it in vafix amongst the imported brands, poisonous with nicotine as most of them are. Yet it is procurable here in New Zealand at any tobacconists! Our New Zealand toasted tobaccos answer all the above mentioned requirements and are probably the purest in the world. The toasting process to wfhicli they are subjected rids them of most of their nicotine, and makes them safe to smoke to any extent.
