Woven through this plot of diplomacy is a charming love story carried by Anthony Rushell and Joan Bennett. Florence; Arliss, the star’s, wife, plays
the lead opposite him as Lady Beac- . ... onsfield. Al Green directed this' Vitaphone version pf the highly success- \ ful stage play “Disraeli,’’ which wan Nrritten for Arliss by Louis N. Parker, Tim cast supporting Arliss is an excellent one, including in addition to the mentioned above, such popular names ae David Torrence,- Ivan Simpson and Doris Lloyd. The story, of the p'ay was adapted for the screen by Julian Josephson. :Mr Josephson has many fine scenarios to hie credit, and in “Disraeli,” his latest, he has skilfully transferred evefy ounce of dramatic value contained in the original script.
