The Westland Hospital grounds at present make a very attractive picture there being a fine show of spring blooms in the flower beds and in a bank on the west of the drive the display is a specially good one. Altogether the general appearnce of the grounds are very attractive and form the subject of very favourable comment by visitors. The results achieved are distinctly .creditable to Mr George Davidson who has put in long, long hours of hard work in an honorary capacity, and his efforts to beautify and generally improve the grounds deserve every word of appreciation and. approval that is so .generally voiced. The special showing of spring flowers so noticeable at present is due in some measure to n large consignment of bulbs received earlier in the year from Sir Heaton Rhodes’ gardens in Christchurch.
