MOTOR SMASH
A FATAL RESULT.

A head-on collision between a motorcycle and a five-seater, car occurred near the Petone railway crossing, seven miles from the city, shortly before 11 o’clock to-night. One df those concerned, a man, is dead, while a young lady is understood to be in a serious condition. <
The motor cycle/ ran into the radiator of the car so far as to jam the handle-bars.; Further particulars are not expected to be available until after midnight. , ■
