/ ADDINGTON STOCK SALE.

PRICES EASIER. (By Telegraph—Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, September 17. Prices in some lines at Addington live stock sale showed a decline today. Beef: The market was irregular. There were 400 head yarded, including consignments from the south and the West Coast. A good number of plain steers were offered. Steers sold: Extra £2O to £25 17s 6d, prime £lB 17s 6d to, £l9 12s 6d, medium £l6 17s 6d to £l9 12s Gd; light and plain £l2 to £l6 os • cows and heifers, extra £l4 to £l6 17s 6d; prime £l3 to £l3 17s 6d; medium £lO 10s to £l2 17s 6d ; plain £8 to £ll.

Mutton : There were 5400 fat sheep yarded, mostly light or. plain. Prices were easier. Wethers sold : Extra 35s 6d to 38s 7d, prime 29s 6d to 335, medium 25s to 28s 6d, light 21s to 23s Gd ; ewes, extra 30s to 34s 7d, prime S}4s to 28s, medium 18s to 225, light 15s to 17s. Spring lambs : There were 43 yarded. Prices were easier. The best sold from 30 s to 355, light 21,s to 28s 6d. Store sheep: There were 2500 yarded, and there was a good attendance of buyers, but it was a dragging .sale. Half-bred two tooth ewes in lamb sold at 25s 7d, three-quarter breds 24s 3d to 29s 3d, sound mouth ewes 17s to 18s 7d, aged ewes 14s 9d to 15s 3d, inferior 7s 6d to 13s 9d. ewes and lambs 8s 9d to 10s lOd ; halifbred wether hoggets 9s 4d to 13s 7d, ewe hoggets 13s 7d to 18s 7d. Pigs: There was n small yarding Pork and bacon prices were firm at late rates. Pork sold 48s 6d to £3 7s 6d .heavy to £3 ,18s 6d; average lOjcl per lb. Bacon sold from £4 to £4 lus 6d, heavy to £4 18s 6d, the average being BJd per lb;
