ARAPUNI'S FATE
r STILL UNCERTAIN. . \By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. A statement with reference to the future of Arapuni was made by Mr Taverner to-day. He took advantage of the opportunity to reply to certain statements appearing, in articles in an Auckland newspaper. He reiterated his- previous’ statement that nothing \yas being said or done in anticipation .of Professor HornellV report;The statements made indicating preparations for doing something at Arapuni were denied piecemeal-. Mr- Taverner emphasised .that.: the general question will be left to Parliament to decide, as it is confidently anticipated that the report’will; : be available before Parliament rises.
