In tlie Legislative Council, Dunedin Waterworks Extension Bill, Dunedin District Drainage and Sewerage Amendment Bill, and W&iapu County Council, Empowering Bill Were read a second tirpe. > J , The. Council resumed discussion on (Sir *J. Alien’s motion calling ' for ah order of reference of a Committee set up to consider the state of the superannuation funds, and asking a report should be presented to parliament at the earliest possible date. The . motion was agreed to. The Council adjourned at 3.45 p.m. until Wednesday next. .
THE HOUSE. In the House of Representatives a vote of £240,000 for the Department of Health was passed. A vote of ; £279,400 for Internal Affairs Department .waa under consideration . when the Hiouse rose at 5.30 p.m.
