(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) THE COUNCIL. : , \ WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. In the Legislative Council, the Unemployment pill was received from the House of Representatives and read a first time. The Acting Leader of ; the Council, Hon. Masters, said it was intended to refer the Bill to the Labour Bills Committee. Five local Bills were read a third time and papsed. The Council adjourned, at 2.45 p.m. THE HOUSE. In the House of Representatives the Incorporated Societies Amendment Bill (Mr Ransom) was introduced and read a first time. Motor Cabs Bill (Mr Mason) was read a second time pro forma and referred to the Labour Bills Committee. Invalid Pensions Bill (Mr O’Brien) and Local Elections and Polls Amendment Bill No. 2 (Mr McCombs) were read a second time. Painters and Decorators Health Protection Bill (Mr Jordan) was read a second time and referred to the Labour Bills Committee. Destitute Persons Amendment Bill (Mr Barnard) and Property Law Amendment Bill (Mr Maison) were read a second time and referred to the Statutes Division Committee. Life Insurance Agent's Bill (Mr Carr) was read a second time pro forma and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. The House rose at 10.30 p.m.
