Eastern Southland A and Wellington played a drawn game in the final of the New Zealand .Ladies’ Hockey Championship tournament for the K Cup, each side scoring two goals. Each team will hold the cup for six months, and when one has the cup, the other will be. in possession of the Floyd Shield, which goes to. the runner-up of the tournament. The ground was in a very heavy condition, after recent rains, but the spectators were treated to an exhibition of sparkling hockey. Had the ground been firmer, Wellington might have gained a win but Eastern Sou LftImihl A stuck to them throughout, and although forced to defend in the early stages, were pressing strongly when, time sounded. Otago defeated North Otago for the Holden Cup by five, goals to two, after an evenly-contested encounter. In which stick work and experience ga\e Otago a well-deserved win.
