DOES THE EARTH WOBBLE ?
SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS. STOCKHOLM, August 21. Does the earth’s axis wobble ? This question will be discussed at the fourth congress of the International Union of Geodesy and Physics, some scientists maintaining that it does, and that the poles wander to and fro within a radius of 33 yards. Others will discuss whether the earth’s crust breathes, absorbing and giving out air.
