LINER EGYPT

SUNKEN GOLD. “EGYPT” TO BE BLASTED OPEN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) BREST, September 2. An Italian tug, loaded with explosives, has gone to the .rescue of the divers of the sunken liner Egypt, in order to blow a hole in tlie liner's deck so as to facilitate the extraction of the gold. The Morning Post understands that any recoveries from the liner Egypt, will be divided in the proportion of forty and sixty per cent, to the underwriters and salvers. The former have already paid for the full loss. Tt is believed the specie alone is worth salving. The vessel herself was not insured in tlie open market, and the other material aboard is not worth the trouble of raising it.
