BERLIN, Aug. 31. ' General Von Seeckt, the re-organiser of Germany’s, Post-Versailles Treaty Army, whose war record was most distinguished, is a ' candidate for the Reichstag. His candidature is being given wide attention. Addressing people : belonging formerly to the Stresemann Party,..at Dortmund, General- Von Seeckt insisted on the necessity for a strong foreign policy, though he conceded that co-operation for peace must remain its goal. He added that the fight against the Versailles; Treaty, and for the attainment of .German desires, which were so important for the pacification and consolidation of Europe, Germany would be justified in demanding a full restoration of her power for her participation in that fight. She must be able to prevent others from dominating her, while, at the same time protecting j her nationals throughout the world. He asserted that the “Polish corridor”- was a perpetual menace to Germany. Germany must maintain friendship with both Italy and Russia in. view of the threat of France’s huge armaments and Army expenditure. I
