REBUKES FRENCH GOVERNMENT

When he wrote asking for a French visa order to visit his son’s grave in France, General Count Conrad von Moltke Avas told; “The French Government’s formal instructions Iforbid French Consulates granting visas to persons on the list of War Criminals.”
The General Avas asked to state he Avas not identical Avith the officer marked number sixty-six on the list. Although he Avas easily able to aquiesce, General von Moltke said:—“l must refrain from entering a country Avhich, Avhile loudly emphasising it is Avilling to have an understanding and reconciliation, continues twenty years after the Avar to cultivate the worst and most insulting abuses of Avar hatred.”
