When this vital part of the work is being carried on the eclipsed sun will be. rather higher than half-way up in the sky. a This coronal photography is not the only work that the New Zealand party will be doing, but it lias interest from the fact that it must all be done within the short space df totality and especially because the instruments which are the ones which were used on the historic occasion at Sobral in 1919, when Einstein’s famous “.star-shaft” was first put to the test.
