STATE DENTISTS
CONFERENCE OF NURSES. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 29. The first conference of New Zealand State Dental Nurses was opened at Wellington to-day by the Minister of Health Mr Stallworthy. The gathering is notable in that the muses aie paying their own expenses, having arranged their conlereucO in ordei that questions relating to their work might be discussed. Mr J. L. Saunders (Director of the Division of Dental Hygiene) will act as chairman during the Conference, which will conclude Tuesday. Nearly seventy nurses arc jittending from all parts of the country, and they were the guests of the Minister at lunch to-day. He congratulated them on their initiative in arranging the gathering, and expressed the hope that the desire to make it an annual one in future would be realised.' Numerous papers will be read by tbe nurses and addresses will also be given by Dr Ada Paterson (Director of tbe School Medical Division). Mr B. B. Bibby, and Mr A. D. Brice. A paper was read to-day by Mr F. B. Bice.
