NEW GOVERNOR
FOR, CALIFORNIA: (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright ) SAN FRANCISCO, August 27. Major Rolph, who has won the Republican nomination-if or the Governorship of California, has defeated the present Incumbent, Governor C. C. Young, in the primary by a majority estimated to exceed fifty thousand. As California is staunchly Republican, his nomination, is believed to be tantamount to election as Governor.
