WEST COAST RUGBY UNION* The weekly meeting of the Executive of the West Coast Rugby Union. ; was held last evening at Greymouth. Correspondence was received from ■the secretary of the Ross Club inviting all Coast junior teams to play in a seven-aside tournament on 1 Saturday next. . ; ; ; •• / I The Westland Sub-Union~forwarded two applications for reclassification from senior to junior. .These were re- V fused. • '• Pennision was granted to. Cobden juniors to travel to during the week-end, and also to travel to Ross on Saturday to play in the sevenaside tourney for the Citizens Cup. The senior competition was closed and Uniteds were declared the.winners. It was decided to substitute- a one round competition for the remaining fixtures. ' ’ A letter was received from the New Zealand Union in reply .to the,. W-tet Coast Union’s reent letter regarding the Excelsior , Club’s.’appeal, adyisihg that it has been decided to endeavour to get an independent chai|;raa^ n tp,pL proceed to Greymouth and preside atj|X an enquiry into the whole matter, qj:,.,* t))is appeal, as it was difficult t0.,c0m0., to a definite decision at Wellington an. the statements before ! thV land Union.
