LARGER WICKETS. CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 23. Will New Zealand adopt the larger sized wicket which 'has been adopted in England? This question was discussed at last night’s meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, when it was decided to recommend the adoption to the major Associations. The final decision rests with them. Ay T. Donnelly (Chairman of the Council) said that if a New Zealand team went to England next year it would be necessary for larger wickets to be used in Plunket Shield games. He thought that the decision to use larger wickets this season should be made.
