At Hamilton, in the bowling doubles, the New Zealnders (MoWhannell and Fielding) defeated South Africa (Hall and Giovanette) by 21 to 13, England (Hills and Wright) beat Canada (Reid and Moore) by 17 to 14. By their victory, New Zealand become the chief threat to the Mother Country for the doubles supremacy. (Received this day at noon.) MONTREAL, Aug, 21. The qualifiers in the hundred yards dash final on Saturday resulted:— Williams (Canada) 1, Gerhardt (South Africa) 2, Fitzpatrick (Canada) .;3, Legg (South Africa) 4. Elliott 'New Zealand) ran third to Page first and Legg second.
