WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. The weekly meeting was held at Grevmouth on Wednesday evening. A United senior player was placed on the caution list lor questioning a referees’s decision. An explanation was received from the Westland Sub-Union for their nonfulfilment of the senior B match last Saturday, also a report was received from the Greymouth team’s manager on the same matter. After discussion the explanation of the Sub-Union was accepted. In reference to the Wise Cup, it was advised that Mr Wise was prepared to present the cup as the property of the Union with the only stipulation that same he competed for by the leading junior teams in the norhern and southern divisions, at Ivumara, at the end of each season. It was resolved to gratefully accept the cup and to arrange the match on a date suitable to the Union. It. was resolved to wire the New Zealand Union asking for an immediate decision on the Excelsior appeal caseThe following fixtures were arranged for Saturday:—Seniors: Cobden M. United at Park A. ground at 3 p.m. (Mr T. Mclntosh, referee); Stars v. Blnketown at Park, B. ground, at 3 p.m. (Mr W. McLaughlin, referee); Excelsiors v Rivals, at Hokitika at 3 p.m.
