The onlookers iii the Chemin De Fer room in the Deauville Casino became almost hysterical when watoliijig the operations of a British gambler, who, it is believed came from Quebec. Beginning at midnight, he lost £3200 in a couple of hours. He continued to play, but his luck never changed. He lost £9,600 in a single hand, and £BO,OOO in the course of the night. The onlookers were amazed at the gambler’s unbelievable imperturbability.
