SPEED BOATS LOST

Saturday : night, a fire broke out in a,boat shed at Vauxhall, containing the speed, boat June 11,, owned by'W. Hewitt., who i#> also the owner of the shed, and another boat belonging to a man named Cutien. A machine from the Soutlx Dunc-difi Fife Brigade station proceeded to the fire, but no water was available; and the firemen could do little to effect a save. The shed and contents were entirely destroyed. The shed was insured for £25 In- the Mercantile and General Office, 1 and tho June 11., which -was considered one. of the best speed boats on the harbour,, for £725 in the same office. Particulars of the insurance on the other, boat are not available, and the causei of the fire is unknown,
