The Christchurch Winter Show anA®' Exhibition of Primary and Secondary ■ v Industries is proving most successful. jThe large daily attendances speak for the interest that is being taken in excellently displayed exhibits. In addition to the very attractive exhibits, splendid entertainment programmes are a daily, feature, taking the form of big musical programmes byvthe famous Woolston Band, Christchurch Municipal Band, Pipe Band, . etc. . Then there are Competitive Highland Dancing, Physical Culture Displays, Maori Entertainments, and ; a host of similar ‘ attractions — the younger folk will be well catered foiC. with the delights of ’ side shows;,(Jr skittle alleys, games of skill,' roundabout) etc; The Exhibition is being held- in the King Edward Barracks* (just' ever the Bridge of Remembrance) which have been transformed, ■by a- magnificent ' decorative ah<d •lighting scheme, into a hdlT of wonders, ' Take advantage of the cheap fares for the ’excursion which ’leaves on' Thursday, August 21st, from Hokitika at 7.40 a.m., leaves Greymouth at 9.3 a.m., .and arrives in 1 Christchurch at 3.45 p.m. Return: ‘Leaves Christchurch, Saturday August 23rd at 8.30 a.m.
