WOMEN’S CONFERENCE
EDU CATION PROBLEM

HONOLULU, August 14
A general survey of the education problems of the Pacific countries, was made by Doctor Anna Brinton, of America, at this morning’s session of the Women’s Pair-Pacific Conference. Other addresses dealt with various phases of education, and included an able one of religious education in Japan by A hiss S'riizu, of Kawasaki.
There was ; another address on the new tendencies’ in Latin America, by Senora de Alday, of Mexico. Nursery schools’ libraries were the subject of addresses at the public meetings last night.
. The' Conference Committee lias decided to admit the associates to the round table conference without the right to speak cir vote. The Hospitality of the Honolulu residents increasingly generous. The British Consul entertains the British delegates on August twenty-first. The of the conference will he the guests in the afternoon of the Daughters of Hawaii, a women’s society which has been organised to preserve the buildings and memorials of Hawiian history.
A party was.-held at the house of a former Queen of Hawaii, which is now a museum. The entertainment was delightful, there being traditional songs and dances such as are not performed, except on such special occasions.
Doctor Sweet speaks on international relationships to-night.
